Firefighter

Responsibilities

• Lead fire prevention, fire protection, and emergency response operations across the manufacturing campus
• Manage and maintain the Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
• Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems including alarms, sprinklers, and pumps
• Serve as a subject matter expert on fire detection and suppression systems in compliance with NFPA and IFC
• Lead emergency response activities including firefighting, medical response, and technical rescue operations
• Plan and lead training programs, drills, and emergency exercises for the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
• Conduct fire and life safety inspections, audits, and code compliance reviews
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies such as fire departments and EMS

Requirements

• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
• Ability to perform strenuous physical exertion including lifting over 50 pounds and climbing ladders
• Ability to work in high-risk environments and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and SCBA for extended periods
• Successful completion of an NFPA-compliant firefighter physical examination

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial, municipal, or emergency response firefighting
• Firefighter I & II certification
• Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) licensed EMT-Basic (EMT-B) or higher
• Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Operations and/or Technician level certification
• Certification in Incident Command System (ICS 100/200) and NIMS/IS-700
• Experience in technical rescue operations (confined space, machine extraction, elevator rescue)
• Strong knowledge of NFPA and IFC regulations
