Fire Systems Inspector Level II

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and local codes
• Troubleshoot system issues and complete minor repairs on fire alarm and sprinkler equipment
• Assist with system programming and commissioning under the direction of senior technicians
• Prepare clear, accurate documentation of inspection results and identified deficiencies
• Communicate findings and recommended repairs to customers professionally
• Support senior inspectors on complex installations and service calls
• Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, and parts inventory in company vehicle
• Safely perform work at elevated heights, on ladders, and within confined spaces

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience inspecting or servicing fire alarm and/or sprinkler systems
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 25 procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and riser diagrams
• Proficient with mobile devices and inspection software
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Level I or II certification
• Experience with low-voltage systems (security, access control, CCTV)
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
