Fire Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Carry out active and passive fire protection systems surveys and technical reports
• Perform compliance assessments against Irish fire safety legislation and standards (TGDB, BS 9991, BS9999)
• Attend construction sites to inspect compliance with Fire Safety Certificate approved designs
• Produce timely technical reports highlighting site issues
• Undertake external façade assessments and fire door inspections
• Provide third-party oversight for fire stopping and compartmentation installations
• Manage a client base and provide in-house CPD presentations
• Travel to client sites regularly, including overnight stays

Requirements

• Degree in Building Surveying or similar discipline, or equivalent site-based experience
• Full Irish driving licence and access to a private vehicle
• Basic understanding of fire safety design and guidance for various building types
• Ability to author technical reports using Microsoft Word and digital software
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload
• Knowledge of construction methods and fire performance of external wall materials

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with intrusive external wall surveys
• Experience with fire compartmentation surveys
• Knowledge of fire risk assessment processes
• Knowledge of internal passive fire protection products and testing regimes
