Fire Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Undertake external façade assessments and survey investigations using PAS 9980 and EWS1 processes
• Carry out active and passive fire protection systems surveys and technical reports
• Perform compliance assessments against British Fire Safety Legislation and standards (ADB, BS9999, BS9991, BS7974)
• Conduct visual fire door inspections in reference to BS8214
• Undertake third-party oversight of fire stopping and compartmentation installations
• Manage a client base and provide in-house CPD presentations
• Travel to client sites regularly, including overnight stays

Requirements

• Degree in Building Surveying, Fire Safety Management, or similar discipline
• Full UK driving licence and access to a private vehicle
• Extensive experience in intrusive external wall surveys for various building types
• Experience in fire compartmentation surveys and advising contractors
• Ability to author in-depth technical reports using digital software and Microsoft Word
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, fire performance of materials, and passive fire protection products
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
