Fire Sprinkler Technician

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, takeover, retrofit, and service wet and dry sprinkler systems, backflow devices, and pumps
• Troubleshoot and repair systems to meet state and local codes
• Perform regular inspections of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 25
• Interface sprinkler systems with fire alarm systems or monitoring devices
• Interface with customers to explain work and address concerns
• Maintain vehicle organization and perform routine inventory checks of tools and parts
• Complete all required paperwork including inspection reports and timesheets daily

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• 5+ years of related experience
• Mechanical skills and aptitude
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Proficiency in basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Sprinkler Apprenticeship program graduate
• Advanced Technical School Training
• NICET Level 2 certification
