Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA 25
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and 5-year inspection frequencies
• Inspect and test fire pumps (Electric & Diesel)
• Perform water flow tests for fire hydrants
• Conduct inspections of dry, pre-action, deluge, and standpipe systems
• Perform fire alarm inspections including smoke detector sensitivity and elevator recall
• Troubleshoot system issues and complete minor repairs
• Document and report inspection results for compliance
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and parts inventory in company vehicle
• Safely work at elevated heights and in confined spaces

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years of hands-on fire sprinkler inspection experience
• Working knowledge of NFPA 25 requirements
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, standpipe, fire pump, and backflow systems
• Ability to read and interpret riser diagrams, blueprints, and system drawings
• Proficient with inspection software and mobile devices
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Level I or II Certification in Water-Based Fire Protection Systems
• FASA/BASA Certification
• Fire alarm inspection experience or NICET Fire Alarm Certification
• Experience with NFPA 72 testing
• Experience with security, access control, or CCTV systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
