Fire Sprinkler Construction Foreman

Responsibilities

• Install fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 13 standards and project specifications
• Lead a team of 1–3 members, ensuring productivity and quality control
• Train and coach fire sprinkler apprentices to support skill development
• Follow all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA guidelines
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and fire codes accurately
• Prepare and maintain accurate written and electronic documentation such as timesheets and inspection reports
• Coordinate with project managers and design teams to adapt plans to job site conditions
• Solve practical problems on-site and develop action plans to address challenges

Requirements

• 5+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience
• Proven experience in commercial construction or tenant improvement projects
• Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and applicable California fire codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid California Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification
• Experience with underground piping and retrofits
