Fire Sprinkler Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and modification of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems under supervision
• Enroll in the company-paid Fire Sprinkler Apprentice Program and meet attendance and academic standards
• Develop knowledge of fire sprinklers, fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes
• Follow verbal and written instructions and provide accurate documentation of work performed
• Operate hand and power tools common to the trade
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to company safety policies
• Maintain company driving eligibility with a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with fire sprinkler systems or similar mechanical systems
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in construction or mechanical work
• Basic understanding of plumbing or pipefitting principles
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints or technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
