Fire Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain fire safety programs and procedures tailored to maritime and offshore environments
• Conduct fire risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local and international regulations
• Oversee fire drills, emergency response plans, and training for crew and personnel
• Investigate fire incidents and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities, classification societies, and emergency services
• Manage and maintain fire safety equipment and systems onboard vessels and at shore facilities
• Promote a strong culture of fire safety awareness across all levels of the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety, Engineering, Marine Safety, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience in fire safety management
• In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and codes applicable in Malaysia and internationally
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage fire safety teams and training programs
• Ability to conduct thorough fire risk assessments and investigations
• Proficiency in developing emergency response plans
• Willingness to travel and work onsite as required

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH Fire Safety or IFE certification
• Experience in the high-rise building, commercial, or hotel industry
