Responsibilities

• Manage and implement a wide variety of consulting projects
• Satisfy client needs and expectations by completing tasks on schedule and within budget
• Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews, plan reviews, and site visits
• Prepare and peer review project-related technical reports
• Develop fire protection strategies, performance-based design approaches, and alternative solutions
• Communicate effectively with project team members and clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering (preferably Fire Protection), Architecture, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in Building Code and Fire Protection Consulting
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or NICET Level IV certification highly desirable
• Proven ability to develop new business and maintain client connections ("Seller Doer")
• Experience with building code concepts, plan reviews, and field inspections
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sprinkler/fire alarm systems
• Experience with hazardous materials
• Experience with project management for large, complex projects
