Fire Protection Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform professional-level fire protection engineering services including life safety code consulting, fire protection design, and smoke control design
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports in accordance with professional standards
• Conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, and fire detection/alarm system reviews
• Manage projects including proposal development, scope, schedule, budget, and client interaction
• Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations and detailed design work
• Participate in business development activities such as client outreach and professional presentations
• Utilize CAD/Revit for production or document review

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering
• Ability to travel to job sites in Texas, Colorado, and surrounding states
• Must be local to Austin, TX, Allen, TX, Houston, TX, or Denver, CO or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas
