Fire Protection Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform fire and life safety code consulting tasks related to Group H-5 semiconductor facilities
• Assist with the development of alternate methods of design and/or code modification submittals
• Assist with hazardous materials consulting activities
• Perform site surveys
• Assist with fire and life safety system inspection and testing activities
• Coordinate closely with design teams and authorities having jurisdiction
• Contribute to complex, high-impact project delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in code consulting and performance-based strategies
• Experience developing building code concepts and equivalencies
• Experience conducting building plan reviews and field inspections

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies
• Ability to work independently and interact with industry professionals and jurisdictional authorities
