Fire Protection Designer

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST
• Build hydraulic calculations and job specifications
• Manage project timelines and work independently
• Partner with Project Managers on cost estimation, budgets, and margins
• Conduct job site visits to scope projects
• Solve design problems and lead coordination meetings
• Mentor junior Fire Protection Designers and support field Sprinkler Fitters

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of fire protection system design experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Architectural, Mechanical, or Interior Design (or equivalent experience)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• NICET Level II certification is a plus
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and building/fire codes is a plus
• Experience with HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST is a plus
