Fire Investigator

Responsibilities

• Attend incident scenes to document and collect evidence and interview witnesses
• Investigate the origin, cause, and development of complex fire and explosion cases
• Produce high-quality, detailed, and accurate technical reports
• Provide expert witness evidence in legal proceedings when required
• Liaise with experts representing other interested parties and attend joint examinations
• Utilize case management systems to record all activity in line with SLA requirements
• Maintain technical expertise through continuous professional development and research
• Represent the company at meetings, conferences, and marketing events

Requirements

• Relevant experience or qualifications in fire investigation, fire engineering, forensic science, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply scientific and systematic approaches to forensic examinations
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly in writing and verbally
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining effective professional relationships
• Valid driving licence and the ability to travel frequently across Ireland and the UK, often on short notice
• Ability to travel overseas if required
