Fire Assayer

Responsibilities

• Weigh, flux, fire, knock up, and cupellation of samples in correct numerical order
• Follow established QC procedures to avoid contamination
• Manage recycling and disposal of pots, slag, cupels, and other waste
• Complete all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately
• Perform sample preparation and weighing tasks
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment to minimize lead dust creation

Requirements

• Previous laboratory experience
• Valid driving licence
• First aid certificate

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift licence
