Fire and Ambulance Group Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls for assigned business units and strategic projects within the Fire and Ambulance group.
• Provide financial leadership for project-based initiatives, including acquisitions, integrations, and system implementations.
• Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and internal/external reporting packages while ensuring SOX compliance and facilitating audits.
• Maintain the integrity of reporting systems related to receiving, shipping, inventories, labor efficiency, and material usage.
• Partner with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to drive operational and financial results in a matrixed environment.
• Manage balance sheet accuracy through timely monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
• Coordinate year-end audit requirements, operating plans, and capital expenditure justifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and manage change in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Experience working within a publicly traded company.
