Fire Alarm/Suppression Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, pull stations, control panels, and associated wiring
• Execute fire suppression duties such as fire sprinkler repair, inspection, and testing of wet and dry systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot troubles/alarms in fire alarm equipment and networks
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and layouts to ensure proper system installation and compliance
• Maintain fire pumps, backflow preventers, sprinkler heads, and water flow switches
• Conduct preventative maintenance testing and respond to system troubles as required
• Identify code issues and non-conformance issues within life safety systems

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire alarm and/or fire suppression field
• NICET Level I or Level II license
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs without assistance
• Proficiency in reading and writing for technical job performance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI with polygraph
• Experience with EST 3 and/or EST 4 fire alarm systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
