About the role
Responsibilities
- Service Fire Alarm and associated systems
- Perform occasional installations as needed
- Complete all necessary paperwork for service and inspections
- Communicate with customers regarding work performed
- Ensure timely job completion
- Coordinate with Project Managers on job status and delays
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Mentor other technicians on tools and technology
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of field experience in fire alarm repair, service, or installation
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and Google Android
- High level of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Fire Alarm Panel Programming experience
- Experience with CCTV and Access Control systems
- Experience with Fire-Lite and Notifier brands
- Familiarity with NFPA 72 and Florida Fire Prevention Code
- Field certifications such as NICET or FASA/BASA
