Fire Alarm Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a service route for fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, emergency lighting, and gas suppression systems
• Inspect, service, repair, and install suppression product lines according to safety requirements and manufacturer specifications
• Identify system deficiencies and provide on-site quotes, repairs, and sales recommendations
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers by up-selling new products and services to ensure compliance with fire codes
• Meet or exceed service and sales quotas set by management
• Call on potential customers to offer suppression products and services

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Mechanical or electronic experience
• Valid motor vehicle license
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge
• Ability to lift and transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work in restricted areas and maneuver ladders
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Fire Protection industry
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and dangerous goods
