Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building products at customer sites
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures using technical manuals, part manuals, and bulletins
  • Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and operational product manuals
  • Provide high-level customer service and act as a trusted advisor to resolve building inefficiencies
  • Complete service acknowledgments and obtain customer signatures via mobile devices
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation
  • Provide recommendations and quotes for facility efficiency and upselling opportunities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems (Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, or Paging)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and technical specifications
  • Proficiency with test equipment, including multi-meters and digital analyzers
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50-70 lbs
  • Ability to work in difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and perform overnight travel if required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET Level II certification
