Fire Alarm Senior Designer

Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Designer to join our team of over 1,200 of the best fire protection and security professionals in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Alarm systems in AutoCAD per code requirements
• Layout of Access Control systems in AutoCAD per code requirements
• Communicate technical concepts to sales reps, operations team, and customers
• Build equipment submittals
• Assist with pre-construction and job management
• Evaluate design workloads and manage sub-contract design team projects

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience with Fire Alarm systems layout per NFPA 72 & 101
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2019 or newer
• Experience with Fire Alarm systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Knowledge of required fire codes
• Ability to engage with local AHJs regarding code requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Notifier alarm system experience
