Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Designer to join our team of over 1,200 of the best fire protection and security professionals in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Alarm systems in AutoCAD per code requirements
• Layout of Access Control systems in AutoCAD per code requirements
• Communicate technical concepts to sales reps, operations team, and customers
• Build equipment submittals
• Engage with local AHJs to discuss local code requirements

Requirements

• 2 years of experience with Fire Alarm systems layout per NFPA 72 & 101 preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2019 or newer
• 2 years of experience with Access Control and Fire Alarm systems preferred
• Edwards alarm system experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
