FircoSoft Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end optimization of FircoSoft screening solutions, including tuning matching algorithms, fuzzy logic, and thresholds to reduce false positives.
• Perform Above-the-Line (ATL) and Below-the-Line (BTL) testing and impact analysis using historical data.
• Analyze alert volumes and root causes such as data quality issues or tokenization gaps to implement reduction strategies.
• Define and maintain low-risk token and exception frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Advise Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) on algorithm selection, coverage gaps, and advanced screening scenarios.
• Support FircoSoft system upgrades, implementations, and integrations with systems like SWIFT, CHIPS, and Fedwire.
• Ensure all tuning and configurations comply with regulatory frameworks including SR 11-7, OFAC, and DFS Part 504.
• Develop MIS reporting and dashboards to track alert trends, productivity, and SLA adherence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of experience in financial crime compliance, sanctions screening, or transaction monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with FircoSoft platforms and sanctions screening optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience handling large datasets for performance assessment.
• Strong understanding of AML, sanctions, and fraud typologies.
• Experience working in highly regulated financial services environments (e.g., Tier-1 banks).
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and client-facing communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting regulatory remediation programs or model validation initiatives.
• Familiarity with Firco integrations across payment, transaction, and messaging systems.
• Experience developing governance frameworks for alert reduction and risk acceptance.
• Prior consulting or professional client-facing delivery experience.
