Finishing Technician I

Responsibilities

• Grind blades to work instruction specifications and apply gelcoat to designated locations
• Perform painting, sanding, and matting to ensure a clean finish
• Apply tape to blade edges to prevent gelcoat overspray and use auto mask on the shell
• Apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade and scrape off excess to fill voids
• Utilize machinery to turn the blade during the finishing process
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, including the use of designated personal protective equipment
• Maintain 5s standards within the workspace

Requirements

• Ability to lift or carry objects and materials up to 40 lbs
• Ability to push and pull heavy objects
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors
• Ability to work with hands for an extended period
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery
• Ability to use a respirator

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or related experience
• Previous manufacturing experience
