Finishing Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical processes, batch reactors, blend vessels, and storage tanks using manual and computerized control systems
• Conduct material transfers using pumps, hoses, heat exchangers, and filters
• Perform drumming operations, including unloading drum trailers and palletizing
• Collect process samples and perform simple in-process laboratory analyses
• Complete all necessary electronic documentation, including batch records, checklists, and log sheets
• Enter transactions and work notifications into the SAP system
• Maintain plant safety by following all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental rules and utilizing appropriate PPE
• Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and sanitization of tanks and transfer equipment
• Operate forklifts and other material moving equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, holidays, and weekends
• Proven ability to work safely and follow strict safety policies and procedures
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in chemical operations or batch manufacturing
• Experience using SAP software
