Finishing Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform finishing and deburring processes including blending, polishing, and the creation of edge breaks
• Inspect manufactured components for quality conformance to specifications using bench gauging and visual inspection
• Deburr parts by removing sharp edges, mismatch, tool marks, and tab cutting
• Execute straightening processes via 3-point bending, shot peening, or manual mallet use
• Operate various deburring equipment such as pneumatic saws, band saws, polishers, grinders, and drills
• Perform In-Process Measurement (IPM) and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S and housekeeping standards
• Accurately complete all required documentation and shop traveler sequences

Requirements

• Trade School Accreditation, High School diploma, or equivalent qualification
• Certification or Accreditation in Deburring
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the aerospace or automotive industries
• Strong knowledge of straightening processes and material handling
• Proficiency in quality inspection and measurement techniques
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
