Finisher I/Paint & Body Worker

Responsibilities

• Prep, sand, and buff painted vehicles to ensure high-quality finishes
• Tape and mask off non-painted surfaces or parts around work areas
• Seal body seams with epoxy seam sealer and smooth for final paint
• Grind, fill, and sand welds, dents, and gouges in exterior panels using body filler
• Spray primer on all areas where body filler was applied
• Sand down painted surfaces to remove orange peel texture and operate buffers
• Maintain a safe and clean work area according to 6S standards
• Climb on vehicles using appropriate fall protection when required

Requirements

• Ability to use dual action sanders, grinders, and various hand tools
• Knowledge of quality requirements for achieving an acceptable paint finish
• General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
• Ability to lift and move 40 lbs. regularly
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments and stand for long shifts
• Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-year of experience in automotive paint prep and body repair
• High school diploma or GED
