Finisher I

Responsibilities

• Perform finishing and buffing of painted vehicle surfaces for large, custom special purpose vehicles
• Sand down painted surfaces to prepare for final finish
• Operate buffers and follow specific steps required to achieve a proper paint finish
• Maintain a safe and clean work area according to facility standards
• Climb on vehicles and utilize fall protection when required

Requirements

• Ability to operate dual action sanders, grinders, and various hand tools
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs regularly without assistance
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in non-temperature-controlled environments
• General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
• Ability to communicate professionally, follow directions, and work effectively in a team environment
• Physical ability to perform bending, stooping, squatting, and working with arms above head

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-year of experience in automotive paint prep and body repair
• High school diploma or GED
