Finisher I

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting by grinding welds and sanding surfaces
• Apply primer coats using specialized paint equipment
• Perform buffing, swirl-mark removal, and use body filler as needed
• Complete taping, masking, and caulking of exterior areas
• Maintain and clean paint equipment and work areas
• Inspect work quality and meet production goals
• Assist team members and follow all safety guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with buffing and swirl-mark removal
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Ability to work in a production environment involving standing, walking, and working at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational training in vehicle repair or bodywork
• Experience with wet sanding
