Finesse Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual inspection of painted vehicle bodies under defined lighting conditions
• Identify and classify paint defects such as dust nibs, sags, and scratches
• Execute surface repairs including spot sanding, polishing, and buffing
• Use approved abrasives, compounds, and tools to ensure defect removal without damaging surrounding paint
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and support appearance audits
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE compliance, and chemical handling guidelines
• Achieve assigned takt time and repair targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in automotive paint finish, finesse, or repair operations
• Mandatory experience in clearcoat inspection and correction
• Basic understanding of paint shop safety and quality standards
• Ability to perform repetitive manual work in a production environment
• Willingness to work shifts and follow production schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma certificate or technical qualification
