FinCrime Operations Team Lead - AML Investigations

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team of AML Investigators in Budapest, fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
• Empower team members by providing necessary tools, training, and professional development plans.
• Measure and improve team KPIs to ensure performance meets regulatory standards and operational goals.
• Initiate and support operational process changes to enhance efficiency and identify opportunities for automation.
• Collaborate with product teams, developers, and other leads to manage the operational impact of changes and improve customer experience.
• Foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture while supporting team well-being and work-life balance.

Requirements

• Legally authorised to work in Hungary (relocation support is available).
• 2+ years of experience in leading and developing teams in a similar operational role.
• Strong knowledge of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and FinCrime fields.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to analyze and improve team metrics and performance data.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for internal projects and audits.
• A track record of taking ownership, responsibility, and being a collaborative team player.
