Financial Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process invoices for materials and contractors, matching them with purchase orders or receiving documents.
• Validate purchase order requests, cost centers, and signature authority before converting to POs.
• Review MSA/Task Orders and create annual Purchase Requisitions and Capital Project accounts in Mainsaver.
• Review credit card reports and assist with processing credit applications, W9 forms, and new vendor setup.
• Support the Facilities Management department with financial administrative tasks, including cost containment and budget projection.
• Track accounting data and manage the creation of work orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of college-level accounting courses and/or relevant certifications.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting concepts and related processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and construction terminology.
• Strong organizational, time management, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting-related duties.
• Demonstrated experience using Mainsaver software.
