Financial Statement Analyst

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare, and analyze accounting and financial information in compliance with regulatory bodies and Financial Reporting Standards.
• Establish policies, controls, and processes to ensure correct recording of accounting transactions within insurance companies.
• Manage and monitor monthly and annual accounting closures.
• Analyze the reasonableness of balances in the company's trial balance.
• Administer and control debtors and creditors (collective accounts).
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in financial and accounting processes.
• Provide support in financial statement analysis to assist in decision-making.

Requirements

• University degree in Public Administration or Accounting.
• Proven experience in financial areas such as Fiscal, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Treasury, or Collections.
• Direct experience in financial statement analysis.
• Understanding of key insurance sector operations, including issuance, claims, reinsurance, and collections.
• Knowledge of NIF standards (specifically D1, D2, and D3 related to insurance).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the insurance sector.
• Experience in the banking industry or other financial sectors.
• Completion of specialized courses from CONDUSEF or AMIS.
