Financial Reporting - Senior Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of private equity and hedge fund financial statements in accordance with relevant GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage client relationships and ensure the team meets all deliverables within strict deadlines.
• Ensure adherence to all controls, checklists, and procedures, while recommending process improvements.
• Proactively manage business-level risk and maintain accountability for the production chain.
• Utilize and recommend enhancements for automation tools such as FundSuite and Macros.
• Coordinate the research and resolution of accounting issues, auditor comments, and client inquiries.
• Provide coaching, development, and performance reviews for staff members.
• Coordinate activities with global offshoring partners, including drafting task lists and providing supporting documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of experience in Mutual Fund or Hedge Fund financial reporting or accounting.
• Proven experience managing staff and leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of Hedge and Private Equity Fund structures, including master-feeder funds.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technology skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting schedules to overlap with US and EMEA hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or similar.
