Financial Reporting, Policy, and Technical Accounting VP

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of financial strategy, technical accounting policies, and high-quality external financial reporting for the payments acceptance business.
• Deliver accurate and timely statutory and group accounts, ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage and develop accounting policies, acting as a technical expert on complex transactions and judgmental areas.
• Partner with Risk teams to ensure financial reporting appropriately reflects the firm’s risk profile and aligns with risk disclosures.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of financial reports with regulatory bodies and investors.
• Identify and implement financial process improvements to streamline operations in partnership with transformation functions.
• Manage finance risk through identification, assessment, and mitigation, maintaining alignment between finance and compliance functions.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Proven experience owning multi-entity statutory reporting processes within a complex organization.
• Strong ability to translate complex accounting issues into clear, practical solutions for stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the FinTech or EMI sectors.
• Understanding of electronic money regulations and reporting environments.
