Financial Reporting Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of consolidated and entity-only financial statements
• Manage reporting for regulated entities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Act as a subject matter expert for complex, non-routine transactions and provide technical accounting guidance
• Stay current on FASB pronouncements and assess impact on the company
• Iterate and develop GAAP accounting policies and support business initiatives like post-merger integration
• Serve as the primary accounting stakeholder for Business Systems and ERP configurations
• Design and implement controls over financial reporting and identify control objectives
• Create sustainable, repeatable, and scalable processes and documentation
• Act as a liaison between accounting, finance, and the broader business organization
• Ensure timely close through journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analytics
• Identify process improvements via automation and AI initiatives

Requirements

• CPA license
• 6+ years of public accounting or private industry experience
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge in US GAAP
• Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

• Combination of public accounting and private industry experience
• Relevant experience in credit card or payment processing
• Knowledge and experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Google Gemini
• Experience with NetSuite, Looker, or other data visualization/automation software
• Experience with DFIN, Workiva, or similar financial reporting platforms
