Financial Project Controller

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets and prepare detailed financial forecasts and variance analyses
• Provide timely and accurate project financial reports, including cost tracking and progress reporting
• Perform financial reporting to subsidy authorities in line with subsidy requirements
• Analyse project KPIs, highlight deviations, and support corrective actions
• Track and validate project costs to ensure compliance with internal policies, EU/national subsidies, and contractual agreements
• Identify financial risks and opportunities within projects and support mitigation plans
• Act as a financial advisor to the CFO and Project Managers
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within financial and project control processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in project controlling, project accounting, or financial analysis
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Basic understanding of project management
• Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting for European and Dutch subsidies
