Financial Product Documentation Negotiator

Responsibilities

• Negotiate the document framework of master agreements for trading financial products, including prime brokerage, custody, OTC derivatives (ISDA and CSA), exchange traded derivatives, repo (GMRA), and securities financing (GMSLA/AMSLA).
• Stay up to date with relevant trading financial products documentation developments to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory obligations.
• Work closely with global colleagues to ensure documentation consistency and alignment with internal policies.
• Protect the bank's interests through effective negotiation of appropriate trading documentation.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in a relevant jurisdiction (e.g., Australia, NSW).
• Proven agreement negotiation skills with the ability to bring matters to an efficient close.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
• Ability to work under time constraints, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, varied, and innovative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Sound technical legal knowledge of ISDA, ETD, or Prime Brokerage.
• Fluency in speaking and writing Mandarin.
• Previous experience in a similar documentation negotiation role.
