About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and deepen mass affluent client relationships through proactive outreach and community engagement.
- Provide high-quality, client-centric investment and financial planning advice using a comprehensive framework.
- Drive investment sales and new client acquisition while adhering to Global Sales Principles and regulatory requirements.
- Execute business development plans to identify and engage prospects and existing Scotiabank clients.
- Build and maintain a market profile by participating in local professional events, community associations, and financial seminars.
- Collaborate with internal branch networks and partners to ensure clients have access to the full breadth of Scotiabank’s resources.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales.
- Mutual fund certification with current accreditation and good standing for CIRO licensing requirements (e.g., Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
- Successful completion of a Personal Financial Planning (PFP®) and/or a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
- Proven networking, client acquisition, and interpersonal skills, including experience building Centres of Influence (COIs).
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for meeting clients and prospects within the designated district.
- Ability to work independently as a self-motivated entrepreneur.
