About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide financial and investment planning advice to deliver solutions in the best interests of customers
- Determine client needs and provide solutions through the sale of managed products and services, such as mutual funds and retirement savings plans
- Proactively engage with new and existing customers through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty
- Implement business development strategies, including outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals
- Identify opportunities to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products
- Develop and implement relationship management plans to meet specific client needs
- Introduce clients to investment strategies and assist them in setting goals using appropriate guidance tools
- Maintain current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and industry trends
- Comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements while protecting the Bank's assets
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning or a related field
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must meet the regulatory and governing body licensing and registration requirements for a Financial Planner in the province or territory of employment
- Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills
- Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
