Financial Planner

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and investment planning advice to deliver solutions in the best interests of customers
• Determine client needs and provide solutions through the sale of managed products and services, such as mutual funds and retirement savings plans
• Proactively engage with new and existing customers through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty
• Implement business development strategies, including outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals
• Identify opportunities to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products
• Develop and implement relationship management plans to meet specific client needs
• Introduce clients to investment strategies and assist them in setting goals using appropriate guidance tools
• Maintain current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and industry trends
• Comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements while protecting the Bank's assets

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning or a related field
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must meet the regulatory and governing body licensing and registration requirements for a Financial Planner in the province or territory of employment
• Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• In-depth analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
