About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and investment planning advice to help customers achieve their financial goals through managed products and services
  • Proactively engage with new and existing customers through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities
  • Implement business development strategies, including outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals, to acquire new business
  • Develop and implement relationship management plans tailored to individual client needs
  • Identify opportunities to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products such as lending and investments
  • Analyze data and strategic problems to provide actionable insights and recommendations
  • Maintain current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and industry trends
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements to protect the Bank's assets

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning or a related field
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must meet all regulatory and governing body licensing and registration requirements for a Financial Planner in the province or territory of employment
  • Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
