Financial Planner

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and investment planning advice to deliver solutions in the best interests of customers.
• Determine client needs and provide solutions through the sale of managed products and services, such as mutual funds and retirement savings plans.
• Proactively engage with new and existing customers through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Implement business development strategies, including outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals.
• Develop and implement relationship management plans to meet specific client needs.
• Identify opportunities to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products, including lending and investments.
• Maintain current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and industry trends.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements while protecting the Bank's assets.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning or a related field.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must meet the regulatory and governing body licensing and registration requirements for a Financial Planner in the province of employment.
• Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry.
• In-depth verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
