About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and investment planning advice to help customers achieve their financial goals through managed products and services.
  • Proactively engage with new and existing customers to identify immediate and future financial opportunities.
  • Implement business development strategies, including outbound calling and cultivating branch referrals, to acquire new business.
  • Develop and implement relationship management plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Identify opportunities to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products such as lending and investments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and industry trends.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements while protecting the Bank's assets.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must meet all regulatory and governing body licensing and registration requirements for a Financial Planner in the province of employment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
