Financial Literacy Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement dynamic, standards-aligned lesson plans that foster mastery of financial content.
• Assess student progress using exams, projects, and written work to personalize instruction.
• Establish and maintain high academic and behavioral standards to motivate student achievement.
• Utilize diverse teaching strategies, including direct instruction and hands-on projects, to engage scholars.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and fellow educators to create a supportive learning community.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a culture of trust and success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an urban school setting.
• Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Grades 1-6, 5-9, or 7-12) preferred.
• Experience teaching the NGPF (Next Gen Personal Finance) curriculum preferred.
