Financial Lines Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of major Financial Lines accounts, including Management Liability and Financial Institutions
• Assess complex risks, maintain underwriting integrity, and document clear underwriting rationale
• Drive new business, renewals, retention, and rate objectives across the portfolio
• Manage referrals and secure approvals from local, regional, and global underwriting leadership
• Build strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal sales teams to support growth
• Ensure timely booking of business and effective communication on key accounts and market conditions

Requirements

• Experience underwriting Financial Lines products at an insurer or broker, with exposure to major accounts
• Strong expertise in Management Liability and/or Financial Institutions
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
• Proven ability to work with top brokers and major clients
• Fluent English communication skills
• Legal or financial academic background preferred, combined with insurance expertise
• Strong understanding of the insurance market and competitors
