Financial Governance & Internal Control Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide independent and objective assessments of the design and operating effectiveness of internal key controls.
• Support the Internal Control Testing Leader in analyzing financial reporting risks for assigned Reporting Units.
• Direct co-sourced testing partners by selecting processes and controls under a risk-based rotational testing approach.
• Perform testing of sensitive controls involving highly confidential evidence, such as indirect entity-level controls.
• Review Reporting Unit readiness prior to testing and manage ad hoc special projects to standardize controls.
• Ensure compliance with Zurich’s Internal Control methodology throughout the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial, or an equivalent field.
• 4 or more years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Actuarial functions.
• Fully or partially qualified accountant or auditor (e.g., ACCA, CPA, IIA, or CIA).
• Minimum of 3 years of audit experience, ideally with a Big 4 or medium-to-large audit firm.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, internal control frameworks, risk management, and audit procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in internal control implementation or control testing.
• Experience within the insurance industry.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management.
• Experience with General Ledger transactions or Business Objectives query tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
