Financial Data Analyst (Apprenticeship)

Responsibilities

• Drive the digital transformation of the Finance function through data structuring and automation.
• Harmonize and validate financial data from various sources including GL, ERP, and banking systems.
• Design and develop dashboards for tracking expenses, budgets, cash flow, and key group financial indicators.
• Improve reporting tools for Budget Owners to monitor spending and variance.
• Automate cash flow tracking by processing bank statements across different entities and subsidiaries.
• Support FP&A activities, including budget construction, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis for the CFO and Executive Committee.
• Collaborate with international finance teams across Canada, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, AI, and no-code/low-code tools.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Finance, Management Control, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or an Engineering degree with a Finance specialization.
• Proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong interest in automation, data manipulation, and process improvement.
• Analytical mindset with a curiosity for both financial figures and the tools used to analyze them.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a finance-related role.
• Proficiency with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or no-code/low-code platforms.
