About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, management, and execution of client engagements.
- Deliver high-quality advisory services in AML, sanctions, governance, and risk management.
- Identify control weaknesses and design strategic, tailored compliance solutions for clients.
- Manage resources, budgets, timelines, and project deliverables effectively.
- Mentor and coach junior team members while overseeing delivery teams to ensure technical excellence.
- Support business development through client targeting, proposal development, and industry networking.
- Contribute to thought leadership via publications, client alerts, and speaking engagements.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in financial crime compliance or risk management advisory.
- Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience with team management responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of AML second line controls and third line audit techniques.
- Deep knowledge of KYC, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening frameworks.
- Practical experience with correspondent banking, trade finance, and SWIFT messaging.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and resolve compliance issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within global regulatory environments.
- Exposure to consulting or professional advisory service delivery models.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or ICA.
- Familiarity with fintechs and digital asset AML frameworks.
