About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and embed core Financial Crime controls across the Group, including payments, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and fraud detection.
  • Manage the integration of financial crime controls for new acquisitions and strategic business change initiatives.
  • Provide second-line oversight and challenge regarding control design and effectiveness.
  • Lead the remediation of Audit, Assurance, and integration-related actions within the compliance environment.
  • Partner with Technology and other key stakeholders to optimize financial crime systems and platforms.
  • Conduct structured control reviews, including AML and sanctions assessments, during post-acquisition integration.
  • Oversee financial crime considerations for new products, geographies, and customer types.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a compliance environment within financial services.
  • Proven experience managing acquisition or business change projects through the end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of core financial crime risk concepts (AML, CTF, sanctions, fraud, etc.).
  • Experience working within a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and management information reporting.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across an organization.
