Financial Crime Compliance Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide business advisory support for Global Payments services, including product launches, onboarding requirements, and KYC enhancements.
• Oversee and guide the implementation of financial crime compliance (FCC) controls to mitigate AML, CTF, and sanctions risks.
• Draft business requirement documents that balance business growth with effective risk mitigation.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders such as Legal, Product, Technology, and Risk to identify regulatory gaps.
• Monitor AML/CTF regulations and industry trends to assess impact on the company's compliance program.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations related to AML/CTF compliance.
• Assist in investigating potential violations and developing necessary remediation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial crimes compliance, specifically advising on global payments and e-wallets.
• In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF laws, regulations, and FATF recommendations.
• Proven experience designing and delivering effective AML control frameworks.
• Strong understanding of global payment systems, e-wallets, and payment rails.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or relevant professional certification such as CAMS or CFE.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
